I swear, half the stuff I never started was because I was scared of doing it badly. Wanted to paint, but what if it looked like a kid did it? Wanted to write, but what if people laughed? So I just sat there. Did nothing. Felt safe. Also felt like a coward.

Then I read this from Brené Brown and something clicked. She says you can’t get it wrong. Wait, really? Because my brain always said the opposite. Everything has a right way and a wrong way, and wrong way means you’re stupid. But that’s just fear wearing a fancy suit.
So here’s what I keep telling myself now. Just do the thing. Mess it up. Learn one thing. Try again.
