“Hesitation only enlarges, magnifies the fear. Take action promptly. Be decisive.” — David J. Schwartz, The Magic of Thinking Big
I almost didn’t book the ticket. Kept telling myself I’d go next year, when things were less busy, when I had more saved up, when it felt like the right time. That right time kept moving. A year went by and I hadn’t gone anywhere. So one night I just bought it. Solo trip, two weeks, somewhere I’d been talking about visiting for years. Closed my laptop before I could second-guess it.

It was the best two weeks I’d had in a long time. Nothing went perfectly — wrong hostel, missed a train, got rained out for three days straight. Didn’t matter. The me who kept waiting for the right moment would have missed all of it.
It’s true that hesitation makes things bigger in your head. The scary part was the thirty seconds before I hit confirm. Everything after that was just life happening.
